My thick-haired 2-year-old goes to daycare and we got notice last night that she had been exposed to lice. I immediately did a head check and found about 30 eggs. I’m not sure if I have found any adults but I might have. They were all so microscopic that even with taking a photo and zooming in or even with a small magnifying glass, I could not identify eggs from adults although I think I found mostly white tear-drop shaped eggs with just 3-4 that were brown and could have been adults.

We shampooed with lice shampoo and are continuing twice daily head checks on us all and have washed and over-dried as many clothes and fabrics in the house as possible.

Any tips for dealing with lice in such a young child?

It’s so hard trying to entice her to sit still for so long and has no understanding of why we are doing all this. We are currently bribing with screen time and cookies (her favorite). Honestly this is hell.
