Leg Cramps (Charlie Horses) in 3rd Trimester
Who else besides me are struggling with leg cramps? How are you ladies dealing with them? Any tips/advice? TIA
I am currently 29+2 weeks. Ever since I started the third trimester, I’ve been getting leg cramps 1-2x a week. This morning, I had the worse, most painful leg cramp out of them all… my calf cramped soooo bad, it radiated up to my hamstrings. The cramp was so bad, the pain is still lingering in my leg and I ended up putting icy hot on it in hopes it helps.
So far, I’ve tried:
•Flexing my foot upward when cramp comes on
•Elevating legs/feet
•Do random stretches here & there throughout the day cause I am on my feet all day at work. My job requires a lot of standing and walking
•My SO has been massaging my legs/feet 2-3x a day
Drinking WATER & staying hydrated is NOT the problem. I have always been a water drinker. Water is my drink of choice. If not water, the only other drink I have daily is my morning cup of coffee. I don’t drink juices &/or sodas… if I do, it’s rare. I can drink AT LEAST 80+ oz of water daily.
