Has anyone ever missed a meeting?
We do weekly check ins with my team and my boss has cancelled the last few so I kind of forgot they happen at 10:30 on Thursdays. I didn’t realize my computer was muted and I was in my living room responding to an email about a wedding venue. I came back to see the calendar reminder, a Skype message from her at 10:30 asking if I was joining then an email at 10:37 asking if I was able to join. I joined at 10:43 and she messaged me on teams saying the meeting was over.
My teams was setup to always show green so for all they know I was busy with something and couldn’t join. I stupidly told her I didn’t see the calendar reminder.
I’ve never missed a meeting since I started a year ago and I feel sick to my stomach that this happened. Our meetings are never more than 15 minutes and it’s just more of a vent session about work issues or answering any questions ect.
