When to discuss trying again

How soon after your miscarriage did you discuss with your partner about wanting to try again? Completely understand that everyone's grieving journey is different

I’m so sorry for your loss. I would definitely discuss with your OB/midwife since you had a vaginal birth and D&C since you may be required to wait the 6 weeks or a number of weeks before having intercourse again to prevent infection. Otherwise, I don’t think you need to wait any amount of time if that’s what you and your significant other want. I think doctors prefer at least one cycle just so it’s easier for an estimate of how far along you are, but then again that’s also what dating scans are for. So whenever you and your partner feel ready that’s totally your call🤍

From my understanding the waiting period recommendations are different depending on how far along the pregnancy was. When we lost our baby I was just shy of 8 weeks. My doctor at the time said there was no reason to wait if we felt emotionally ready. We tried again right away but I had one period in between.
