When should I test? And which date is my date for DPO? Am I suing the correct language here? Trying to figure it out.

As for dpo , it means days past ovulation, u have to count after the day i ovulated , so for you u count from the 5 on , so it means today u r 9 Dpo .
 i think u can test tomorrow but for better accuracy u can wait till the day your period is due ☺️💕 hope it helps , baby dust your way ✨✨✨
