Arian for a Baby Boy - Thoughts & Opinions?

It's my mom's name backwards (I'm Armenian) and apparently means things like 'high born', 'silver' and 'superior'. Welsh/Greek and also Indian origin. Couldn't settle for anything else that was meaningful but Boy is due in May either way 😅 Comments needed and encouraged 🙏🥺

The problem is going to be the pronunciation. I know they’re different words with different spellings of different origin, but it sounds identical to Aryan which is not an association most people want.

I think the sound of the name is beautiful. But I like to stay far away from things connected to hate groups, so I wouldn’t chose this name. 
I think you’ll have to assess how much that baggage would bother you or could bother your child, to help you decide.

From this app, I am expecting a lot of people to compare it to the “Aryan Brotherhood”. I would ignore those people.

My name is a female version of that. Many people pronounce it incorrectly and only a few think it is like “Aryan” as in a racist group. It has zero connection to that and the term wasn’t even well known when I was a kid. The ones who think it’s racist are ignorant that the name itself has nothing to do with that and its roots go back to Hebrew and Greek origins. As a side note, the word “aryan” had completely different meaning less than 100 years ago. Ignore the haters and go with the name if you like it. It is not a “white supremacist” name at all which it sounds like you already know since you’ve done the research.
