I can’t help but be anxious… advice?

Question

I have taken my pop at 9 am every day with no skipping for the past 3 months. In those three months I have had periods but very late ones. 
After an 8 day period, 3 days later I started bleeding again. Of course I fear implantation bleeding. But it couldn’t happen after my period right? 
TMI but my boyfriend and I have had sex frequently in the last month and he does finish inside me sometimes.
I know if I’m taking the birth control almost ‘perfectly’ this lessens the likelihood of me getting pregnant. But I can’t help but worry.  
What should I be expecting in the following months? Are these small periods after a long period normal? I’m so new to this.

With the POP it's very common not to have regular periods. Some women don't have periods at all when taking the POP, others wi have irregular bouts of bleeding called breakthrough bleeding. Sounds like this is what you're having.
When I took the POP I had bleeding for the first six months, but it was regular so I'd go for 25 days and then have bleeding for 10 days, then go 15 days and have 3 days of bleeding etc. After the 6mth mark I only had bleeding twice for the remaining 2 years I was on the POP.
