I'm so hurt by this😫😭💔

My bf and i had an argument, he's been doing better lately about talking things out when we have a disagreement... Until now, he lost his temper and bursted out yelling. He ended up slapping me on my face saying he "needed to knock some sense into me". Wtf!

We had a talk about this and he apologized saying it wasn't okay. I'm fucking hurt, there is no excuse on why anyone should go through this.

I no longer want to be with him anymore after this. I need help, i don't know what to do. We have a baby together and he said if i ever leave he will not let me take my daughter. If i take her do i have to do any legal paperwork?

Please someone help me. I do not want my kids going through shit like this.
