Postpartum bath?

Can I take a bath if I only had a superficial tear? They didn’t specify whether or not I could, or wait the 6 weeks.

I always took baths still after birth with or without tears just don’t use heavily scented soaps or anything. Magnesium salts are good.

Sitz baths are great. Full submersion baths are generally not recommended until past six weeks.

My OB told me to take as many baths as possible as it helps healing. I had a 2nd degree tear

They let me take baths in the hospital after I gave birth to my 2nd & 3rd babies
