Job becoming too much after job change
2years ago I started work as a news anchor for a local station.
It’s relatively small but was bought buy a massive company last year. Since then my boss has face a lot of pressure to change things and make advancements that fall on us.
In November we lost a photojournalist we had had for almost a year, and, following some changes, this month I was switch to that, as well as the weekend anchor.
One of the National anchors then took my job. (He and two others did work for an affiliate that is no longer with us and they needed him to do more than anchor the midnight show. He HATES local and has told me numerous times he wants it gone and me fired)
I now have 3 days off, but I’m still required to make calls and such to make sure I have stories to go out and get Thursday/Friday, however they want me to check in when I do come in, just in case I need to reschedule those and do another story.
On Friday some things happened and I was unable to go out to get a story, which resulted in the man who took my job to become very pissy and told me I need to have stories on those days there’s no exceptions.
My boss was much more understanding, especially because I was still trying to get one.
I’m also supposed to be flexible with my schedule Incase something happens and they need to call me in.
I’m just crazy stressed with even me going on I can’t mention here, but just know it’s work related and involves the dude who pretty much took my job.
