I had a complete miscarriage (blighted ovum) 12/10. After having some symptoms I took a pregnancy test 1/11 which I tested positive. I started experiencing mild cramping as if my period was starting so I tested again 1/14 which was positive as well, but I also started bleeding. I reached out to my doctor and she stated it may have been a chemical pregnancy. Hcg levels have to be at 0 before starting a period so we’re pretty sure it wasn’t hcg from the miscarriage especially since all contents were expelled from my uterus at once on 12/10. My doctor advised me to test again when bleeding is finished.

I bled light the first day, very heavy the second day for a few hours than almost no bleeding by the end of the night. Day 3-5 very light to spotting. Day 6 spotting only when wiping.

I tested again on day 5 & 6 with a cheap equate test and got a faint positive. Wish I would’ve used the same brand I used when I tested before bleeding.

Has anyone experienced this? Anyone tested positive after completed bleeding from a chemical pregnancy?
