I was born in the early 80s. Everyone smoked. Couldn't go to a restaurant without being asked smoking or non well into the 90s. I didn't have any health issues but my sister had asthma, but so does my mom so 🤷
Objectively we know that tobacco products are harmful on a societal level. Anecdotes like mine don't change that.

My mom smoked two packs a day while pregnant with me and I have asthma and lung problems along with many other health problems. 
She smoked a few cigarettes a day with my brother and he has nothing wrong with him other than he was born premature and gets sick easily.

I was born in the 80s. Both of my parents smoked. I had pneumonia when I was a month old. I’ve had “unexplained” breathing problems my whole life. My parents were still smoking when my sister was born 8 years later, but less. Then they quit. Now my mom puts her nose up to anyone that smokes and makes a face anytime she smells cigarette smoke. Such a hypocrite.

My mom smoked constantly while I was growing up, and I had recurring ear infections because of it. 😖
She ended up getting lung cancer; hopefully I don't 😐

Yes. She smoked with me and not with any of my 3 brothers. My 2 brothers and I have no issues related to that (they have eczema but so does she) but my youngest brother has many many health issues. Only one working lung, 3 holes in his heart, no butthole, and some other stuff too. 
I smoked with all 3 of my kids and there isn't anything health wise wrong with them. I DONT CONDONE SMOKING WHILE PREGNANT. I just couldn't quit. Smoking while pregnant can potentially be very dangerous for the baby. It's not worth the risk.
