One of the hardest parts of childless divorce

Is losing who was your closest friend. Ive always been a bit shy with making friends. We used to joke that my ex reeled them in and I made our friends stay.

Ive not really had to make adult friends before. I thought I was always guaranteed to have at least one friend.

Now it feels like I dont have any. (Well I have one close one but she's long distance)... I just wish I had friends to hang out with in town since I moved away when I left my ex. New Town new place new everything.

I 90% love my life but it does feel a little lonely even with my family nearby. I just want some friends. Im not even searching for any romance (not closed off to the idea but not seeking it out) just platonic friends.
