Was the first year of marriage the hardest? If yes, why?

Nothing has been hard about my marriage so far.  We are only 6 years in.  But still, it’s a dream. Husband is a dream🥰 I love it; love him…I think it’s so fun!

Marriage hasn’t changed anything for us. My husband and I were together 4 years when we got married. We already lived together and have our bills situated on who pays what. Only difficult thing about marriage was getting my name changed. 😅

We personally didn’t have any issues adjusting into marriage. We had been together 5 years before getting married. We moved in together a few months before our wedding. We got pregnant almost exactly one year after we got married. Our relationship has always been “easy” though, we rarely fight or argue so not much changed 🤷🏼‍♀️

It honestly depends on how long you have been together, if you lived together before the wedding, if you got pregnant right away- so many things. It’s definitely an adjustment that can be tough but it can also be just fine.

I would say the first years were the hardest, we were not good at communicating. Things started getting better recently actually. We are in a much better place, we are finally matching vibes.

First year of marriage was challenging figuring out how to merge out stuff/life/finances/habits/family drama etc so there was some bickering trying to get our bearings, but not bad. After we had a baby with colic, that was a much bigger test for us.
