I need to call off work sometime in the next week or two for my great grandmothers funeral and my job want’s documents proving I’m related to her to be able to call off and use bereavement time. What documents can I bring to prove that? I’ve been waiting for a reply from management but nothing yet. I’m trying to prepare now so I’m not frustrated and scrambling later

Funeral program and a letter or paper from the funeral home stating you were there and family. And if you are needing to fly for that funeral, I'd make a copy of my tickets. But funeral program and letter should be more than enough to ensure you receive pay for the bereavement days at work.
