Late period

So I’ve been off BC for 4-5 weeks and I was taking it incorrectly for about 3 weeks before that. My period is 3/4 days late and I had a tiny amount of brown/light blood in clear jelly like CM 2 days ago, a small amount of creamy cm yesterday along with egg white CM 20 days ago but I was not using OPKs so can not confirm a peak. Does an opk with this result and a late period indicate anything other than maybe period coming? HCG strip test is negative and assuming ovulation was 20 days ago it would be positive at this point right?
