am i eating enough 5 month pregnant ?

My mother is continually telling me to eat for 2.Because of what I eat ( i’m still some nauseous and cannot eat much honestly and what I eat is mostly sandwiches, fruits, dairy, pasta, bread, eggs, pizza) she is telling me the baby is starving and cannot have enough nutrients because of me.

She implies to eat cooked food 3/times a day and I’m starting to feel bad i’m not eating healthier for the baby.I tried cooking some rice and chicken yesterday but ended up eating only the rice cause the chicken smells made my nauseous 😖.

I’m starting thinking am I eating that bad? I’m taking my prenatal vitamins but are those and what I eat enough? I don’t know who to believe i’m beginning to break down everytime she calls me she asks about what i ate and judge me.

I was always told I only needed 300 more calories a day for the baby. Plus the baby will take what it needs from you. I wouldn’t stress out to much. Try to eat somewhat healthy if you can. I eat a good mix 😅

you’re okay, you don’t ever need to “eat for two” that baby is getting everything it needs from you and it’s not like they need you to eat a good, healthy meal every single time! as long as you’re eating what you can, it’s okay

Eat what you can but eating for 2 is not a real thing

I think food is important when pregnant, but I also haven't experienced nausea etc. The baby's eyes and brain are developing and we need healthy fats to help develop that- like avocados, eggs, walnuts etc. My parents, aunt's, uncle's and cousins, etc don't need glasses, but my brother and I have needed glasses since we were little and I believe it's because our moms diet wasn't good enough while she was pregnant & or maybe something else. I think diet is important, but if chicken makes you sick, try another protein

Eat how you want and when you want. If you're not that hungry, then don't eat much! Pregnancy is a process and nothing that you can rush, and nobody can force you to eat more than you want to.

Rest easy knowing that the baby will take what it needs! Even if that means taking it from your bones and muscles. You will suffer way before the baby will. Therefor if your baby is not getting enough you’ll definitely know bc your body will feel it

My doctor just told me long as I’m eat 6 snacks a day because I can’t hold a full meal down baby is fine. With my oldest daughter I didn’t eat for days and she was born healthy. With my oldest I only would eat out no home cooked food. And the others I would go days without eating I go days now and at 20wk my baby weighted 1lb.
