UTIs, thrush, IUDs, cramps and IBS

Come on to complain and seek advice.

Got the copper coil about 18 months ago. Nothing but ISSUES since and unsure if it’s related I’m just so tired of battling new issues. I was so healthy and free of problems before my coil and now it’s just frustrating. Unsure if this is just life and growing up.

But basically 3 months into my IUD insertion the UTIS started where I got them once a month for about 9 months. Was unsure to why this kept happening. I was drinking loads, peeing before and after sex. Partially helped but not really. Anyway. Moving on. And obviously because of constant antibiotics it meant I was constantly fighting off thrush. And I think the antibiotics and ruined my gut health and so am now cramping and bloated and gassy every evening. So I did low fodmap diet and that kinda helped when I cut out lentils and onions etc (this weirdly helped with UTIS too for some reason) but now I’m still cramping, which could be ovulation pains I don’t know. I also just never had ovulation pains before my coil. I also did not have 9 day periods and debilitating period cramps before my coil. Really just not liking this little IUD.

Honestly don’t know if these are all separate issues or if my coil is out to get me. But the doctors are extremely unhelpful and have no idea. I’m just so tired of guessing my own symptoms and how to make everything better. I feel like a hypochondriac and I just want to not be in pain. It’s all so dumb too because these issues aren’t anything of extreme illness or health and I feel bad moaning about it. I’m just annoyed because I can’t work out what it going on and how to fix it and just feel so out of control.

I want to work out the correlation of things and it’s been over a year and more issues seem to be arising as I feel I combat one of them. Is it time for me to ditch the IUD and live a natural life for a while? Or maybe none of it is even related and this is just life.
