13 month old potential speech delay?
Hey there, just seeing what other people are having for experiences with their little ones. My son is going to be 14 months old in a couple weeks and so far the only thing he will say is "uh oh", he started to say Manama this past week, but he seems like he's only doing a couple gestures on occasion. Sometimes he will wave and on rare occasion I can get him to clap his hands. He'll high five at times too. He's running around like crazy and he doesn't ever stop moving, especially this week. He has been walking since 11 months old.. I describe things we play with, what he's eating, I dictate what we're doing all the time. When I try to sit down with him to work on skills like stacking or sorting shapes, it is difficult to get him to focus and be still even for a minute or two. He smiles and giggles all the time and makes eye contact, most of the time. I know every kid develops at their own pace, but I was never around babies or toddlers much prior to having him. Is anyone else in the same boat? My little guy is just nonstop moving all the time, and I feel bad that I can't get him to focus long enough to work on skills.
