Earliest dpo you can test with the least bit of hope?

I know you should really wait until missed period but what’s the earliest dpo to test? 
I’m 7/8dpo, week until my period is due. Really trying to hold out until the weekend but tempted to test tomorrow

So implantation happens between 6 and 12 dpo and HCG needs 48 to 72 hours to double. So the earliest you could have a positive would be 8/9 dpo. Keep in mind that you could still implant at 12 dpo so anything before 14 dpo could be too early.

I did on 9 dpo and got an obvious positive. This was 6 days before my period was due which is what the pregnancy test I purchased said.

Some can get a faint @ 7dpo it just depends on when you implant!

If you test before 10 dpo you’re just going to keep testing anyway to confirm it. Anything before 10, and 10 is even early, is just too early.

I know people who have gotten faint positives at 8 dpo, you can start testing today or in the morning and just keep testing until your period is due!
