Not sure if this is an appropriate forum to post and ask a question about a toenail. Sorry if it’s not.

My daughter’s toenail turned mostly white and kind of raised or bubbles up about three weeks ago. It looks like it’s detaching from the bottom She’s 13 months so it’s likely trauma but it looks like fungus.

The pediatrician referred us to a dermatologist as fungus is extremely rare in babies/toddlers. The dermatologist can’t see her for several weeks.

Naturally, I’m catastrophizing the whole situation. Has anyone seen this in their little one’s finger or toe nails?It probably is just a result of trauma…. from a dropped sippy cup or toy.
