Advice NEEDED PLEASE READ

So I’ve been dealing with a personal issue this past week, long story short I was granted full custody of my daughter in court. My child’s father ended up going to court the same day and taking an RO out on me and I was forced to leave my home.

Here’s the part that i’m not sure where to move on, I have no where to go and i’ve been staying at a relatives. This said relative was the beneficiary of my mother’s will and will not release the funds to me so i can find housing for me and my daughter because she thinks i’m going to run back.

Is this illegal to hold someones funds? As of my knowledge they were supposed to be released to me months ago. But she’s holding it to “teach me a lesson” Not sure what to do and I am currently homeless with a three year old.
