How to be patient?

I am heading into my first IVF cycle. I will have a hysteroscopy this cycle and then will start with stimulation in next cycle. My issue is I have no patience. I am feeling frustrated already and pissy about the time it is taking. I realise that this is just the beginning but this wait time is killing me. Also, the fact that if I delay anything by a day or 2, I end up losing the entire month. How do you ladies deal with impatience?

Patience is something critical in ivf as there’s a lot of waiting. There’s waiting for your cycle to start, there’s waiting for scans, egg collections then the horrible wait yo day 5 to see if any of your en egos survive. Then if you’re lucky to have anything survive after the transfer there’s the brutal wait to see if it has worked. Infertility in general is all about patience. You may start off wanting a child and 3 years, tens of thousands dollars later you may have success. I’m not being a downer but this journey is all about waiting for your time whilst giving it absolutely everything you’ve got. I’d recommend having a o pop Addison or focus outside it because everyone’s journey is different. I’d trying meditation, exercise, long walks in nature. Anything you need to do to calm your mind. The waiting really is the worst part of it all. There’s so much you don’t have control over.
Like Heather said, just carry on with normal life stuff.
Having something else to look forward to each month is good - whether that be a vacation, a hair/nail appointment, a date night, or whatever!

Same! This wait is the worst! It’s so tough, but yeah, like others have said, you’ve just gotta carry on with normal life stuff. I try to be patient and remember that even though the wait is tough, each step is bringing us closer to our baby! I have my moments and emotional days, we’re nearly a year in and haven’t even gotten to a transfer yet, our first scheduled FET was last week and got cancelled the night before because I came down with covid, I was heartbroken about having to add yet another month to our wait. Now I’m feeling more positive again knowing there’s a little less to worry about with this next cycle. Just take it as it comes, stay busy, feel your feels, and do something special for yourself when you can to de-stress!

The waiting is awful. There's truly not much you can do about it besides to keep living your life and find joy in each day. I find that meditation, poetry, positive affirmations help. And especially leaning on your partner or close friends to get your mind off of things.

I just kept living my normal life and booked things like hair, nails, massage etc. 
The waiting sucks, as does the lack of control for when you get appointments and cycles.  It is what it is, honestly I think we all went a little crazy with the waiting.
