No bleeding is considered normal or status quo, but it is common and 30% of women spot in pregnancy so it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong. Ang and all bleeding should be reported to your OBGYN tho

Any and all spotting/bleeding should be reported to OB/midwife. When it started, how much, what color, how long, any cramping and intensity of cramping. 
That said I had a loss before my daughter and a loss before my son. Currently on my 5th pregnancy, hopefully 3rd baby. I started spotting at what should have been 5w6d. Bright red. Instantly hysterical thinking we just lost another baby. Went in to be checked out. HCG was almost 23,000. Ultrasound showed me measuring 6w3d with a fetus in utero, active, heartbeat 176 BPM. Baby was totally fine. So where was the bleeding from? Also visualized a subchorionic hemorrhage. Slightly increased risk of miscarriage but most go on to resolve and an uneventful pregnancy. So the 14th (happy Valentine's day to us) was bright red bleeding. 15th was pinkish red bleeding, 16th was brownish spotting, 17th was light brown spotting. Nothing since the afternoon of the 17th. Though I was told it could be off and on until it resolves. So I'm pregnant wearing pads just in case the bleeding starts up again. We have another scan on March 1st. We'll see if the baby is still alive and well and if the subchorionic hemorrhage has resolved or at least shrunk. I did have to keep a bleeding log for my OB. It's still on top of my fridge if I need to write anything else down. I'll be taking it to our Wednesday appointment.

It most definitely can be normal. I had it early in pregnancy with two of my children. Now if it happens with severe pain and big clots that’s not so normal. Then you need to see the doctor asap. But slight bleeding even if it’s red can be perfectly normal.

No, a little pink or brown spotting can be normal but bright red is a pretty good indicator of chemical pregnancy.

If its bright red blood and has happened for days i would definitely contact your obgyn, could be a miscarriage. Im so sorry youre going through this.
