From the sounds of it, it seems your period was just delayed due to some other issue. Stress, sleep, diet etc can cause periods to be late. Chances are you’d have a positive if you are that late. 
But with that being said, I have noticed A LOT of women are experiencing this out of the blue. You could always schedule an appt with your doctor for a blood test to be sure.

My sister was 2 weeks late of her period, I was sure she was pregnant and then happened just like you and about 3 days after, her period said hello 🥺
Sometimes the stress or anxiety of have it can cause it. Try to track your ovulate day and don’t think too much of get pregnant, that way is faster, believe me. Hope if you want a baby, you have soon!! 🙏❤️💕
