I'm devastated. My first egg retrieval hasn't been what I expected at all. Last ultrasound showed 12 good follicles but they only got 7 eggs yesterday. When they told me I just started crying. Everything we go through and only 7 eggs, I'm gutted. Today I've had the call that only 2 have fertilised with another 2 possibles but developing slower than expected. On top of this my progesterone levels were too high and lining only 7mm so they cancelled my cycle and told me it will be a freeze-all (if we even get any 5 day embryos to freeze). I am absolutely heartbroken. How on earth do people go through this for years?! We've been ttc naturally for 2 years already with unexplained infertility. I'm 35 and never once got that BFP 😥 Has anyone else had such small numbers and been successful? Any tips to improve next cycle?
