HSV 1 Question

Hi all, I have hsv 1. However, I do not have any symptoms at.. but I take suppression and lysine for it.

Just a few questions:

- if I have just hsv 1, does that mean I don’t have it down there and can have sex without a condom? Or should I still use protection?

- are there alternatives to give your male partner oral or is it just condoms?

-what’s the best way to tell your someone you’re seeing you have it? The “talk”?
