Is Alé (Ah-le) a good name for a boy?

I’m not a fan. But part of that is because I don’t know how to pronounce it, and the Ah-le you provided doesn’t help clarify it for me, and I find pronunciation ambiguity to be a pretty big downside for names, personally.
Is it Ah-leh (like the beginning of Alexander) or AH-ley? And is “ah” pronounced like the first sound in ask, or like the first sound in avocado? 
Basically there’s four possible pronunciations and I don’t know which one is right. My initial impression upon seeing it would be to say ah (as in avocado) ley. 
A smaller downside to this name is that it looks like ale, as in beer. Which isn’t a terrible association but not one I’d enjoy, either.

I've gone with no just because I wouldn't know how to say it based on the spelling and I'm sure he'd spend his life telling people how to pronounce it

Ale sounds like it’s short for Alejandro which is still Alexander but in Spanish so maybe you could use that instead.
