Process before conceiving
Today I went to the gynecologist because I have been having pelvic pain.
I had a pelvic test done.
From what my gynecologist said, everything looks great. (Family has a history of ovarian cysts) so that was my concern.
She asked me why I stopped taking my birth control pills (they helped with my pain when I would ovulate. I have horrible pains during ovulation) along with that question she asked if I’m trying to get pregnant.
My response: In a year or 2 years I plan on getting pregnant. My S/O agrees on the time.
So I stopped the pills and it’s been 8 months since I’ve stopped taking them.
I DID NOT know that there was some blood work that needed to be done before trying, and I did not know there some vitamins that were needed to be taking before trying.
The people that I know never told me they had to do that.
Also, some pregnancies were surprise pregnancies, so I thought none of the other stuff was needed.
I was told I had to lose some weight (about to go on the journey), get blood work done (just had it done today), and take the vitamins once I lose weight.
I just got the education on what to do before conceiving.
I want to know what you beautiful ladies did.
Have you done the stuff I was told to do?
Did you do nothing but sex and got pregnant?
I’d love to hear your stories and if you have any advice, feel free to give. :)
