When did you start solids for baby?

When did you started solids for your preemie? My 36 weeker can roll but can’t crawl or sit up yet. She’s almost 6 months. Doctor thinks should be fine by 6 months to start solids which is in two weeks.

In Australia and the guideline here is not earlier than 4 months and not later than 6 months. For the premies it is corrected age. If your baby is showing signs of readiness then it’s a good to go.

My daughter was born at 36+2. She was sitting by 4 months old, crawling by 6 months old and screaming tantrums for food by 5 months old. I waited till 6.5 months despite her extreme irritation with me over it lol. She’s a healthy 19 month old now!

I waited with all my kids until they were almost 8 months. At that point they are sitting up well, and can eat finger foods and I don’t have to mash anything up. That’s just me personally

Not until 6m adjusted age. She may be actually 6m but adjusted age she is 5m old since born at 36wks. All ready signs must be met also.

I’d wait until they’re sitting. Not being able to sit increases the chances of choking by a lot.
