Do I need to wait for the return of menstruation?

Question

After weaning baby off, is it possible to get pregnant without the return of menstruation.
Or
One has to wait till when menstruation returns to be able to get pregnant.
I just weaned my 1 year baby off, so I want to know if I have to wait for menstruation to return before getting pregnant.
Please I need enlightment.

It’s very hard to say what the case will be for you. I always get my period back a couple months postpartum, even when breastfeeding. Some can still get pregnant before they started their period (but obviously had started ovulating) and I know those who don’t get pregnant while breastfeeding. You COULD get pregnant before your menstruation returns, but you have to ovulate. Or, you may not ovulate til you get your period back. Maybe try taking ovulation tests, checking your nasal body temperature every morning at the same time to see if you will ovulate, and if you’re wanting to get pregnant, do the feed during the times you get positive ovulation tests, and have a rise in your nasal body temp. Or you can go all out ah e just “do it” every or every other day 🫣😜😅
