Nursing Strike - Day 4
Anyone have any tips for how to help end a nursing strike? My daughter is 8 months old and she’s been on strike for 4 days now. I think she’s teething which might explain it, but also what triggered it was that she bit me and I screamed and yelled at her. She’s already got two bottom teeth and she didn’t stop nursing when those were coming in.
Also, I may be ovulating. I got my period back after my son right around 8 months postpartum so I’m thinking that might be part of it. Can nursing strikes really last up to two weeks? Did anyone else have their 8 month old go on strike and never go back to nursing? I’ve tried lots of skin to skin and I offer the breast first before every feeding but she just screams and turns her head away and kicks to get away from me. 😭
