Diarrhea and birth control pills

I take my birth control at the same time everyday and about 30 mins after taking my pill, I had diarrhea (tmi sorry). I know some people say this effects the absorption of the pill/makes the pill less effective, and I know people also say the pill wouldn’t have “traveled” that far yet and I’m still protected from pregnancy. What do you all think?

Also- I start my placebos tomorrow, so I’m not terribly concerned about it, but at the same time I’m still a little worried considering I had sex yesterday
