Hey guys! It's been a while! Can you believe we have almost 4 year olds?!

I was talking to my mom about Maddie's upcoming 4 year old well check up and the shots she would be getting. We got to talking about finger pricks for bloodwork and my mom thought it was so weird they don't do them at every check up like they did when I was a kid. In fact shes only had one around 12 months. Is this normal that they don't? We have diabetes in the family so now she's worried. They also don't ever talk to her.  They only ask me questions about what she's able to do. They kind of just ignore her and take my word for it.  Is this normal too? We've been considering finding a new pediatrician for some time now but maybe I need to really start looking??
