I have recently started a friends with benefits, it has gotten to the point that he is now reaching out to not hookup, but simply see how I am and what I am doing. So; I always answer his texts but never know which will be the text for a hookup cos each starts the same lol

We have rules implemented, one is that I never text first

Anyways, I am not sure if I should keep texting back or not. To clarify our conversations are like this:

Jason: Morning bae

Jason: Baby

Me: morning!

45 mins -5 hours later

Jason: what’re you doing?

Me: Making coffee, gonna take a shower soon. You?

Jason: Working.

At this point I don’t want to bother him since he is at work.

Or:

Jason: Morning baby

Me: Good morning 😃

3 hours later…..

Jason: how’s you?

Me: Great and you?

Jason: ok…I guess

Jason: what you up too?

Me: feeding my Guiena pig and you?

Jason: Working? Doing paperwork

Anyways poll question 🙋‍♀️ when he says he’s working do I try to keep the conversation going or just let it be. If I let it be I don’t hear from him until he texts me again which is fine, I just don’t want him to think I’m not interested in friends with benefits lol

I’m trying to keep this super cool and casual and have him know I’m interested in sex with him, I don’t him to be put off by my lack of responses and think I don’t want his good D 😅 I feel I’m not keeping it cool and casual idk if I should respond or want to even say

Any suggestions for what I could say when the conversation lags and I don’t know what to say when it’s like this:

Me: Wonderful and yourself?

Jason: I’m doing ok

^^^^ idk what to say after that lol so I usually just don’t say anything and wait for him to text me again, 9/10 times he doesn’t text me again that day.
