If their something rong at 20w anatomy check up do they let you know that same day ???

I went for my 20 week Anatomy check up today. Tech was very nice. But when I asked her if everything looked good she just said Dr. Will let you know. But I have my next apt a month from now. My question is, if their something wrong do they let you know that same day ?? I’m a first time mom so it kinda worried me since she just said Dr. Will go threw it with you.

If something is super concerning I’m sure the doctor would give you a call. Techs aren’t aloud to say anything good, bad or otherwise! If you don’t get a call I’d assume everything is fine!

With my 3rd baby there was issues. She had nuchal translucency and a cystic kidney. I knew there where issues as straight away she said shes going to get someones opinion on something but not to worry.  Shes now 5 and perfectly healthy minus one kidney but my word did i worry. They should try to put our minds at ease a little more in some cases

They're not allowed to say, but you can call your doctor and ask for the results once they've been "interpreted." For our early scan for nuchal translucency, the doctor came in afterwards to tell us scan looked good. I think that was the first time that's happened though, and this is my third pregnancy. I really wish they would do it more often and consider how much the parents will worry.
A couple of weeks later we were waiting on some blood tests and not only did they not call me when the results came in, but when I finally got someone on the phone they told me they'd uploaded the results and for me to go check online. I was certain that meant the tests had confirmed that our baby had a rare disease, which kills most kids who have it before they turn three. It was the worst two minutes of my life and I don't understand why she couldn't just tell me the results were negative and everything was fine 😔.

I think if there was something wrong they would tell you right the way! Don’t worry about it!
