When did you know you wanted to get married

When did you realize that you wanted to get married to the person you are with? Every one I know is getting married including my 19 year old cousin 😮‍💨 I have been engaged for almost 8 years and I want to but then I don't it's such a big step honestly. Idk I feel like I am wrong for feeling this way but idk.

We got married on our 10 year anniversary and this will be our 16th year together and expecting our first baby. (We started dating when we were 18) 
Don’t let anyone make you feel like you aren’t doing things fast enough. Enjoy your 20s, focus on a job you love doing, build a life together and grow your relationship together. We have grown so much as people since we first met and I do believe couples either grow together or grow apart. Marriage was never super important to us but then I lost my Dad to cancer and suddenly family became a lot more important to us and we realised we were missing out on that side of life. We are super happy we made the decision to get married and it just made us fall even more in love again. I wouldn’t rush it more than we did if I had the choice to do it all again though. Life changes a lot throughout your 20s and early 30s. Enjoy every step 🥰

When he proposed. Lol we had been together for 1.5 years & just had our 1st baby when he proposed  & that's when I really started thinking about getting  married. We were already living together so we were already living that life well before we got married. Our wedding was 2 years after that. 🥰 it was a big step but it wasn't scary & didn't change anything. Been together 14 years and married for 10.

Not everyone wants to get married, or sees marriage as the goal of the relationship. If you don't feel ready, just don't do it yet. There is nothing wrong with not feeling ready or not wanting to get married at all.

I have never wanted to get married. It’s not a goal or requirement in my life. I am perfectly happy and have maintained several stable long term relationships
