Hey, y’all! My daughter was born 2/15 this year. I was wondering: Are newborns are supposed to receive the Vitamin K shot at birth, or is that something her pediatrician will set up? I started looking at her medical records this morning & it doesn’t show that she received one at the hospital. I’ve been worrying myself because I know Vitamin K’s important for newborns & infants to prevent VKDB..

Note: I’m a first-time mother & had a very bad experience with the hospital I went to. I wasn’t told anything.. Completely neglected by nurses (they never ran anything by the doctor), ended up septic 6 days pp due to seroma-related cellulitis at my c-section site. So please don’t shame me for not knowing..
