Rice cereal really should be avoid altogether. It provides 0 nutritional value and doesn’t teach how to eat. And it contains arsenic. 
I highly recommend looking into solid starts. They are very very helpful with feeding your little. They are all trained professionals. Their Instagram, website, and app are all beneficial in different ways. The app is a free food lookup guide on how to safely serve a wide variety of foods. The website can answer almost any of your questions. 
Also, for just in case you didn’t know, the chest clip on the car seat needs to be at the nipples/armpit in order to keep babe safe. Safeintheseat on Instagram is a fantastic car seat resource.

No solids at all until 6m old with all ready signs met. All major health organizations recommendations are 6m. Cereal is not healthy and not necessary at all and rice cereal especially is pure garbage. Better off not to feed it.

Yes, baby can have purées starting as early as 4 months old. There are some signs of readiness to look for and a pediatrician can give you a more in depth look of what those signs are, but a big one is baby seemingly not satisfied with the milk/formula (wanting more and more though he/she is eating appropriate amount per feeding as well as enough feedings per day).

Honestly I started my baby on the grain baby cereal and some baby food I say at least try some kids like it and some don’t if he doesn’t try again in a month

You can introduce baby food like the ones that say baby’s first food on the jar. As long as they have full control of holding their head up and can sit up with help. My baby just turned 4 months today and I gave her baby food yesterday. Just no solids

I keep seeing between 4 and 6 months of readiness etc. I guess we will see what his pediatric says I’m a few weeks :) I’m anxious , he stares at our plates and drinks lol. I can’t wash to see how he reacts when he taste something other then milk
