It’s very likely our little boy is on the spectrum. Possibly high functioning. I feel so sad some days and I feel anxious pretty much every day. Even though we have such amazing family and friends I feel so alone.

My son just got diagnosed with it in March. We had our suspicions, it has been a rollercoaster of emotions but I can say he is in the middle of the spectrum very high functioning, what really made us wonder is because he is behind on his speech, and he has always lined up his cars chews on the wheels and puts other objects in his mouth these are just a couple things. We have alot to learn, but we put him in school once he turned 3 and that has been the best thing we could have ever done for him, he is growing so much! I know it’s hard not to worry and be scared but educate yourself do what you need to do for him and he will succeed in life! He is still your son and autism doesn’t define him! My son loves and cares so much about his people! He is a loving boy with others but also likes to be with adults doesn’t like to go off and play on his own but will as long as someone is with him! I am Autistic. I think you will feel better if you join Autistic lead spaces and learn from Autistic Adults who are also parents of Autistic kiddos like me. I suggest buying and reading I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL as a great intro. I would join a group call Autism Inclusivity on FB. I would avoid Autism Speaks as it is considered a hate group in our community. I would read into why ABA is torture and not recommended by Autistics. It was created by the creator of gay conversion therapy. They claim to have changed the behaviorisms since then, but really it is designed to make your child APPEAR less Autistic, but nothing will change their neurology. We also dont use functioning labels thats the medical model.com. We use the social model, which views Autism as a different neurotype that only struggles because society isnt built for them. Think being an android phone when literally all of society is made by Apple and for Apple. Neoclastic is another good website. Check out Yellow Ladybugs on FB.
