Why does fingering hurt

I’m not a virgin, but every time my boyfriend fingers me, it feels like he’s scraping me. It doesn’t feel bad but it’s a lot of pressure and I can’t come or feel any time of pleasure. Might be the texture but I want to see if there is another solution, because when we have sex or gives me a blowjob, it doesn’t hurt at all. Although when we have sexual intercourse it sometimes feel like he’s scraping me but then it goes away. He’s a respectful man and makes sure that I’m comfortable. Any recommendations?

Are his finger nails long? If so, tell him to keep them cut short. Are his hands rough/dry? That could be a cause as well. It’s also possible he’s just fingering u too roughly and/or ur not wet enough.

Tell him to move his fingers rather then thrusting with his arm
