Long-term IUD and cycle tracking

I am in my mid thirties and had my third IUD inserted about a year ago. There was no break between my second and third, so I’ve not had a period for 7 years. Even before placing my IUDs my period was light and pretty irregular, but that was in my late teens. I had a few periods in the break between my 1st and 2nd IUD at 25, but even those were irregular.

Just this past month I’ve been motivated to find out more about my cycle, so I purchased some ovulation strips and am tracking other symptoms to try to determine my natural hormone fluctuations. I’m aware that not everyone with an IUD ovulates, so the strips might not offer any insight.

Is anyone else in the same position as me? Were you able to find your cycle?
