For those who had kids 6-9 years age gap was it easier or harder?

I have a 4 year old and we want to spend as much time with her and to focus on her before bringing in another one. We are also, transitioning into our lives with new careers and so forth.

This is the age gap we’ll be dealing with, so I’ll let you know if/when we get there!
Fwiw, I used to coach a girl whose family had kids 7 years apart (14yo, 7yo, and newborn). They loved it. Each kid got to do their own thing and there were no sibling fights. Each older sibling was also old enough to be largely independent by the time the next baby arrived.

can’t speak for my own children but my little brother is 9 years younger than me and we’ve always been best of friends! when i was younger i loved to help my mom with him and i was old enough to help with changes and bottles and naps etc all the good stuff! as we got older we’ve stayed close and he’s like a mini built in bestfriend although he would probably say i try to be his mom too much 😂 my oldest sister is 9 years older than me and we’ve always been besties too! i’m 23 and she’s 32 and we’re still super close! my middle sibling is 3 years older than me and while we’re very very close now and she’s probably my best friend, childhood/highschool days were hell and all we did was fight and bicker 🤦🏼‍♀️ id say in some ways each is easier and harder. probably harder to restart when your kid is grown, but the older kid helps. probably easier when you little is just getting out of diapers and bottles to re start but then they might fight and have jealously problems at first. i think it can definitely go both ways and both ways have pros and cons
