Clomid? Where to get it ?

My ob diagnosed me with pcos but said she doesn’t recommend clomid because she thinks I’m ovulating on my own based on my average cycle length.. but my question is if I have pcos shouldn’t I be able to get prescribed clomid ? It took me four years to conceive my second child it was unknown infertility.. have any of you ladies gotten prescribed clomid by your ob and conceived ? I’ve heard from a lot of people that they were prescribed clomid since they had pcos and they conceived quickly.. Any Obgyn recommendations for the nc area ?
