Is this flirting? LONG POST***
So my cousin was too drunk to drive herself home one night so I decided to drive her home and my boyfriend came along with me. He begged to drive her car to take her home but I insisted on me driving not only because she’s my cousin but also because she was in the passenger seat and too drunk to hold herself up so she was all slouched down on my lap which would’ve been inappropriate if he was the one driving. Fast forward to when we get to her house … soon as we get there he jumps out the car and grab my cousin from behind holding her waist trying to help her mind you my back was killing me but i was going to help her myself but he was already taking led. When we get in her house he assist her to her bed and then takes her shoes off for her and she asks me if I’m okay because she might’ve could tell I was uncomfortable. Later that night she sobers up and it’s about 3am and she’s arguing with her bf otp and he goes in the room & ask her if she’s okay … another situation with this same cousin happened that I thought was fishy was that every time we go somewhere in her car he always sits in the front and leaves me in the back like dude I would’ve sat in the front if I knew you wasn’t sitting in the back with me and every time she’s in town visiting he always has to follow behind her inside of my grandads house and he does this weird thing where when he’s talking to girls he starts rubbing his beard and smiling am I tripping about this whole situation or is it actually fishy?? I brought it up to him because my grandma told my mom that she thought maybe my bf liked my cousin which I never brought to anyone’s attention but my grandma noticed. He totally got heated at the fact that we would think this and says that he didn’t look at the situations how I looked at them. He says that he doesn’t like to sit in the back of anyone’s car (I never heard this) & he thinks that I wasn’t going to be able to help my cousin myself because she could’ve fell. Like dude have you never seen 2 people help 1 drunk person? Then what bothered me was him telling her the next day “I thought I was going to have to put you on my shoulder and carry you” don’t you guys think that this is inappropriate?
Edit: he also says in his defense that she’s older than us and has a kid and bf so why would he want her he was simply trying to help
