Pacifier recommendation

My boy is 5 months old and we have tried 4 different kids of pacifiers and he doesn’t like any of them. His pediatrician wants him to take a pacifier to help him self soothe and sleep at night because we are having issues with that. Anyone whose babies had trouble with pacifiers, what kind did your baby end up taking? WERE DESPERATE.

You ARE the pacifier. Why do you think bottles and pacifiers are shaped like nipples. It is biologically normal for mothers and their offspring to need proximity. It’s western culture that has split them up and told them an infant needs to self soothe. You are the soother until that happens.

I’ve tried 9 different pacifiers and even more bottles. Some babies just aren’t into them, you can’t force it.

My baby has a tongue tie and the mam ones really helped with him latching on to it! He’s also not breastfeeding though so not sure if it would work if you are!
