We have a pool party to go to on 4th of July and are traveling from out of state to attend. How bad would it be if I intentionally “forgot” my bathing suit?

Aside from the fact that I hate swimming, I’m super uncomfortable being in a bathing suit right now. I’m 6m pp and despite losing all my baby weight and then some, I’ve been asked by multiple people if I’m pregnant again. I have a little belly, my thighs are huge, and my boobs are so droopy and floppy, I just can’t even imagine getting in a swimsuit in front of people right now, let alone having pictures taken of me looking like this, and it’s the first time a lot of people would be seeing our baby so I know there will be lots of photos. (I know nobody else cares what I look like, but I would not be comfortable.) My husband will gladly take our toddler in the pool. I’m thinking I can just go wearing a loose maxi dress to keep everything covered. Will anyone find it suspicious if I say I forgot to pack a swimsuit for myself?
