Is this normal or should I be concerned ??

Is this normal? My baby is 3 weeks old & I don’t recall this with my other kids. Only happens when he flexes.

Maybe abdominal diastasis recti? It happens in pregnancy from the abdominal muscles spreading and stretching out. It can happen in newborns too. His little muscles are still developing but I would talk to his Dr anyways just to be sure!

I don’t remember looking at my baby when she was a newborn and seeing this. But you can keep the picture and bring it up to pediatrician when you see them

Normal, my first had it. Pediatrician said they’ll come together as she gets older. She’s 4 now and has a perfect tummy and rock hard little abs.

Definitely looks like a hernia for sure. And it can be concerning so I’d get her examined as soon as you can.
