Should I take a plan b?

I’ve been trying to track ovulation and I thought I’d be in the clear to have sex since I just got off my period literally like 2 days ago.

For the past couple days I’ve been having intense intense cramps after sex and bleeding and yesterday was the worst by far with the after cramps so part of me just was curious so I went and took an LH test and positive.

This is after two days of sex multiple times a day.

I’ve been testing for ovulation near CD 14 and being super careful during that time but clearly I ovulate a lot earlier which is probably why I never can get a positive test in months.

If I had a positive LH yesterday is it to late for a plan b?

If LH is positive ovulation is likely starting within the next so many hours (usually 12-24 but that varies). You can try the Plan B. This is why so many women miss ovulation! Not testing early enough testing at the wrong time of day, reading strips incorrectly, assuming we’re all in the average sector of medicine are some of the most common issues in attempting to pinpoint ovulation.

What is the best time of day to take an ovulation test?? I figured one in the morning one at night, but I’d like to know what you think ☺️

Might as well. It may work, it may not.

I’ve always heard that they don’t work if you’re already ovulating.

You are correct about Plan B but a positive OPK indicates LH is at it’s peak and ovulation is going to occur soon- witching the next so many hours not that it’s actually happening. After mid cycle peak, LH does rise again around your period or in early pregnancy.
