Baby Walkers ??!

What have you guys used for your kids that helped? Please share experiences below. Thinking of my 10 month old son in mind.

Push walkers are developmentally better. Sit in one’s are bad for the hips.

I refused to use the sit in ones because they are banned in Canada & the AAP would also like them banned in the US.  I used a push walker:

I used a sit walker and massively regretted it. I think it delayed his walking. Soon as he used a push walker he was walking in no time

Don’t use sit walkers. 3 out of 4 of my kids went through PT (physical therapy) and the therapist said sit walkers can harm development of the babies hips.

Push walker for my 1st born. He started using one at 8/9 months and walking by 10. He was eager. My 2nd born didn't have interest in a push walker and she started walking at 13 months. I'm in Canada so the sit ones are banned but I wouldn't recommend them either way.

We used a push walker, but did not purchase it until she could stand unassisted.

I got my son the sit in walker when he was about 10 months and all he did was sit and scoot backwards then I realized he not really walking so I got him the push walker that helped but once he fell off of it he was so scared to try again he didn’t walk till he was 1 and 4 months so every baby is different but I say the push one makes them work harder

I used both with all 4 of my kids. My youngest would really get going though and tipped it a few times so I threw it out.

Walkers aren’t recommended for development due to them causing babies to lean forward to push the walker versus actually being at a point they can walk. There is high likelihood of injury for this reason.
